AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PAT:
As you know, I was counting the days until Darryl arrived, and we could be reunited, and begin a new life together. He was supposed to arrive on the 21st of November.
As luck would have it, fate stepped in and everything has been changed.
Darryl went to see his heart doctor on the November the 6th, and was told he had to go in for an angioplasty for clogged artieries. Depending on how bad, he may also have to have a bypass.
So on the 21st instead of Darryl coming here, I will be flying back to Ontario to be by his side during this trying time.
At this time, I don't know if I will be able to publish the newsletter, I am sorry, but priorities and all that.
Please keep us in your thoughts & prayers.
Pat
How are you? Everything all right? Like to hear from you. Love to see you soon. Obviously I miss you.
Hello again, and welcome to this weeks Edition of the Global Express.
After searching for many months, I think I finally found the perfect webset, that depicts the WWWCOF Global Express.
Unfortunately the first time I used this (for the Halloween edition, I received some complaints about folks not being able to access the pages. so, last week I redesigned it, hoping to make it easier.
It wasn't until I went to d the navigation menu, that I discovered my mistake. It was in the coding for the menu!
Once I realized it wasn't the design layout, I was happpy, so this week (with coding for menu intact) I am once agin going to introduce you to the original design.
The newspaper with coffee cup symbolizes our weekly get-together to share all the news and stories from the members.
The right side of the page was originally the coffee color, that is the background colour of the bullets, but I changed ot to the Canada Background that is so familiar on all the WWWCOF sites.
I realized as time went on, I was just making more work for myself, by introducing a new background set each week. And, while esthetically pleassing. I found I was forgetting important elements as I did my copy & paste.
Hence this new background set will be the official Global Express newsletter set.
However, just to add a little splash of colour and excitement, when there is a special occasion, such as halloween, I will devote one page for that theme, which you will find in this week's issue.
Some of the permanent elements are the three boxes on the left. The top two contain links totwo of the more important WWWCOF sites.
The third one has the familiar jump menu which will allow you to navigate to all the familar sections of the newsletter.
Below that I will include a separate link for the for a Page, that I want to bring special attention to, This will change whenever there is something special I want to feature.
I hope you enjoy the new look. and would love to hear you comments.
I would like to thank all of you for contibuting this week. It makes for varied and interesting reading, as well as helping us keep in touch with one another.
And, makes my job easier.
So grab you favourite beverage and enjoy your new and improved Global Express.
